Getting Yourself Setup in a League
Have you already applied and gotten connected in our Slack chat? If so, skip to Step 4.
Step 1: Fill out an application for whichever league(s) you are interested in. Applications can be found from the homepage under the Apply tab.
Step 2: Wait for a response from the commissioner–if there’s no waiting list, this will likely be quick! The first response you will receive is either a follow-up email or simply an invite to our Slack chat.
Step 3: Accept your invite to our Slack chat (check your email, including Spam if you don’t see it). We use Slack for basic league communication, and upon entering, you’ll have access to a few public Slack channels (such as General and Off-Topic). If you don’t quite yet have access to the private channel for the league you’ve applied to, we’ll connect you there once you’re in the General channel.
Step 4: Create a website forum account. The forum can be found from the homepage under the Forum link. Once you create your forum account, look for an activation email (and check Spam again). Once you activate your account, you’ll be able to post to the forum where we post trade blocks, finalized trades, etc.
Note: This forum account also automatically links to our website where you will now have the ability to create content–articles, videos, podcast, etc.–for your team or league. You cand find more information about how to post here, or from the Publish tab on the website.
Step 5: Most leagues will ask you to acknowledge some sort of rules page before receiving an in-game invite. You can do this via the forum thread for your specific league, if one exists. Other leagues may just ask that you post in the Slack chat.
Step 6: Ping a commissioner that you’re ready for your in-game invite, and you’re ready to go!
One last thing: If you’re interested in contributing to general gaming news (reviews, etc.), there’s a specific application for that here.
