FILIteano After jumping to a 34-7 lead at halftime – the Titans defense took their foot off the gas as they allowed the Raiders to score 37 pts in the 2nd half. It took a Marcus Mariota game winning drive to win the game, as Zane Gonzalez hit a 48 yard FG to win. Mariota finished with a perfect passer rating, throwing for 4 TD’s and 343 yards passing. With rookie TE sensation getting hurt on the 2nd play of the game, Jonnu Smith dominated with 8 receptions for 115 yards and 2 TDs. Titans with 47-44 over the Raiders. bkmotorsports (bears) Bears finish the first quarter of the season with a 3-1 record, but it wasn’t easy getting there. Second year quarterback Nick Donnell has struggled as of late but a fair amount of blame can also be laid at the feet of his receivers. Donnell has a good game against the packers, but with injuries piling up, and 13 drops from receivers, it proved to be a trying game. Still with less than 2 minutes left the qb drove the field for the TD to get within 2 points and completed a miracle 2 point conversion for the tie. With 30 seconds left the defense came up with a huge INT on the backup QBs for the packers and another huge gain on the next play got the bears within field goal range. The Bears second year kicker knocked it thru for the close 3 point win. 11 points in the last minute of the game proved to be too much for the ailing packers. codyw73 (Packers) Things looked promising for the Packers in the beginning. On the first play of the game Kalen Ballage ran for a 79 yard TD. Quickly followed by a long pass to Ruggs III later in the first. Once Aaron Rodgers went down for the remainder of the game, backup QB Jeff Linsley (who many assume will be Rodgers predecessor after this year) lit up the bears secondary going 5/5 for over 100 yards and a TD before throwing the game sealing INT. The Packers lose a close one as they continue to figure things out for the future. They also lost Kalen for the next 6 weeks. BigJizz-Redskins After pulling out a win last week against the Jaguars the Redskins come home for a game against division rivals Eagles. While struggling this year the redskins lit up the eagles defense with 503 yards of offense and they started the game with a 14-0 lead after a punt return from Isiah Wright and a long bomb for Terry Mclaurin, but that lead was quickly lost as by half time it was 28-17 eagles. Dwayne Haskins exploded in the second half almost leading his team@to a victory but losing after failing to convert on a 4th down. Ever since Derrius Guice went down with an injury the Redskins run game has been abysmal and reports are that the redskins are purging Jerick McKinnon after his poor performances, while the redskins fall to 1-4 with the 52-45 loss, do they look for a new coach or stick with Jizz only time will tell. crazy_canuk9 Sean McVays press conference. This team will continue to battle each week. The players only meeting didnt yield the results it was looking for but we can take some positives away from the loss to the Lions. Take away a few of those big plays for Td’s, the pick 6 and the missed throw from Herbert that would have resulted in an easy td and it may have been a different game. As far as injuries. They are part of the game. The show must go on, so it’s the next guy up mentality. I felt like Dallas Godeart played a very strong game and will make him a focal point in the next few weeks. We need to do a better job in getting the recieving core the ball in open field. The players need to focus this week and prepare for their next opponents french_toast209(steelers) The Pittsburgh Steelers cap off a 3 game win streak with a huge game from 2nd Year QB Warren Ferrara. throwing for 464 yrds 5tds on 82%. Early injuries to WR’s Darius Slayton and Dionte Johnson meant younger unproven guys needed to step up as Ferrara completed a pass to 7 different players. Undrafted 3rd year wideout Jaylen Smith proved to be the guy for the job with 6 catches for 115 yards and 2 TD’s. TJ was a beast on the defensive side of he ball with 13 Tackles 5 sacks and a fumble recovery. When asked about the game Head Coach Roddy Ricch said “We gotta be better at holding onto the football. Another 2 fumbles? Ridiculous. But no joke this team is the real deal. Can’t answer my phone cuz we’re BALLING” We’ll see if the Steelers can stay hot in New Orleans next week. Blake Rowe (Patriots) The Patriots head into their much needed bye week with one thing on their mind — Recovery. Without 4 starters for the past 3 weeks, the team is hopeful that they can get healthy ahead of a stretch where they play the division leading Dolphins in 2 of their next 3. Head Coach Cannon said, “We’re very much so a next man up mentality team. We’ve got guys who can replace these guys, but it doesn’t mean that’s when we’re at our best. These guys start for a reason and being without them hurts. We can make do and more with what we have, but we know we need those guys back.” french_toast209(steelers) Balanced attack leads the Steelers over the Saints and continues the win streak up to 4 games. With the game knotted up at 24-24 after a New Orleans scoop and score, 2nd year running back Oscar Holmes had the run of his life going 75 yards for the TD to put the Steelers up for good. Holmes was the focal point of an overall balanced attack posting 15 carries for 124 yards and a TD while Warren Ferrara struggled early with 2 picks. Former 2018 5th round pick Natrell Jamerson led the defense with 2 picks and took 1 to the house. The Steelers look to work on the balanced approach while getting healthy over the bye week next week. With an incredibly difficult schedule down the stretch that features the Dolphins, Patriots, Ravens, and the Chargers, the question buzzing all throughout Pittsburgh: Is this the year the Steelers get over the hump? Mike Lowe The Lions sit at 3-3 after their 3-game win streak was broken at home against Washington. We failed to execute some key moments in the game, and Washington found ways to overcome some long 3rd and longs and a number of 1st half turnovers. The 2022 season is proving to be more successful than we anticipated with a rookie QB at the helm, and we’ll look to continue that growth at home against the Bears in Week 7. Tumblespaceweed The struggling broncos make a bonehead play in the final minute of the game that led to a game winning pick six losing 28-32 against the Titans. Now falling to 0-6 we still have yet to capture our first victory. Our defense held up for the first quarter not allowing any points, but eventually fell apart in the end. LB Jacob Phillips and RE Yannick Ngakoue combined for 4 sacks with emmanuel ogbah getting one on the day. Superstar Running back Phillip Lindsay had a big day rushing for 195 yards and one touchdown on 23 attempts. Veteran QB Matthew Stafford had a rough day finding WR Brandin cooks for 2 touchdowns and TE Travis Kelce for one, but he did turn the ball over 3 times. On the day he ended up going 16/32 297 yards 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions while being sacked 5 times. After the game Matthew Stafford said that he was was optimistic that this team has the potential to turn this awful season around. With the bye week coming up we will defiantly try to get the secondary fixed and prepared for our week 8 matchup against the browns. We are also looking for someone to give this team some new energy and might make a trade or two before this upcoming deadline. codyw73 (Packers) The Packers struggles continued at MetLife stadium today. Aaron Rodgers continued to struggle throwing 2 INT and 0 TD. The lone bright spot was recently traded for AJ Brown exploding for 209 yards receiving. The packers head into their bye week at 2-5 with a lot of questions to be answered. Rumors are running rampant around Rodgers. Many believe that the team may look to head in a different direction giving backup QB Jeff Linsley the keys to the franchise for the rest of the year FILIteano The Titans go into their Week 8 bye coming off back to back come from behind victories. The 1st being a pick six by Jabrill Peppers, the 2nd a last 42 yard TD catch by Sheneault to bet the Chargers by 1. Mariota will take an 18 TD:0 INT ratio into the bye, with TE Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis carrying the team on the receiving end. The team looks forward to the return of rookie TE Danny Spear, who had 20 receptions for 321 yards and 4 touchdowns through 3 weeks before getting hurt in Week 4. Cade Jenkins (Ravens) After the Ravens week 3 loss to the Steelers they have been on a tear, winning 4 straight games. 3x MVP Lamar Jackson when asked what’s motivated them to go on this run responded by saying, “The Steelers took the Week 3 game from us and I want the league to know that I won’t be giving any more games away this year.” He sure has backed that up, especially in his most recent game vs the Buffalo Bills. Jackson completed 16 of his 18 attempted passes, threw for 292 yards, and 2 TD’s. Not to mention he grabbed 77 yards and a TD with his feet. After the game we caught HC Cade Jenkins and he had a few things to say, “That’s a good team win, Lamar did his thing as we expect. TC had a great day with 158 yards and 2 TD’s. But what about recent signee Steve Buchanan, in his debut game he caught a 30 yard TD, and grabbed 53 yards on the ground. And man, what about the defense! Only allowed 235 yards and Earl, Hump, and Myke all grab them an interception. With all that being said, we aren’t satisfied, we gotta keep focus and most importantly, we got some guys that we need healthy.” JP (Jets) Jared Goff made his Jets debut against the Packers and did not disappoint. Goff threw for 285 yards and 4 touchdowns on 19 pass attempts. One of those tds went to former Packers wide receiver Devonte Adams, who finished the game with 5 catches for 68 yards. Jarvis Landry had another big game with 6 catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns. New York secondary got torched again but forced 3 crucial turnovers to keep the Packers to only 6 points. Jets even their record to 3-3 and will try to keep up the momentum next week when the face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
