SSG Madden CFM Recaps (2-7)

The 2022 season is well underway in the SSG Madden CFM, and here’s the latest from a number of teams who’ve chimed in for this week’s edition of Weekly Recaps. You can find out more information about our SSG Madden CFM from our website’s primary navigation. Mike Lowe The Lions are now 1-2 after starting their rookie QB, Jeremiah Barbieri, who was drafted 3rd overall. Barbieri was kept on a very conservative gameplan the first two weeks, but in Week 3 we wanted to open things up a bit for him and he responded by throwing 3 TDs and had another rushing TD. He currently leads all NFL QBs in rushing yards. TheOnlyKaine (Vikings) After last nights loss the Vikings stand at 2-1. After two weeks of extraordinary defensive play, Minnesota’s defense couldn’t seem to get off the field last night due to offensive mistakes and errors. One of the most important factors is the offense having four fumbles from four different players, and all of them being lost. Coach Rosenbum talked to the press postgame saying “We can’t afford to cough up the ball that many times and expect to win.” french_toast209(steelers) After an exceptional win against a title contender in the division rival Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers rebuild looks over after a horrible 4-12 season last year. 2nd year tandem of QB Warren Ferrara and RB Oscar Holmes provided great performances but were ultimately overshadowed by the defense. Forcing 5 turnovers in the game, the Steelers defense was extremely opportunistic and made regning MVP Lamar Jackson look somewhat human, forcing 3 interceptions. Coach Roddy Ricch after the game stated “Great team win for the guys but there is always room for improvement, we fumbled the ball 2 times. That’s just unacceptable and will be addressed in practice this week. We’re going to have to play perfect football to make the playoffs and we didn’t do that today. Gotta move smarter, gotta move harder”. We will see just how far this talented pass rush can carry the Steelers this season. JP (Jets) The New York Jets improved to 2-1 after last nights win against the Bears. Jets played well in the first half but in the second half struggled protecting the football. Rookie QB Simon Salisbury threw two interceptions, one being a pick six. Starting RB Eno Benjamin and WR Jarvis Landry each fumbled. Thankfully, Jets defense made crucial stops in the 4th quarter and Landry redeemed himself by catching his 2nd TD of the game to secure the Jets victory. BigJizz-Redskins After the highly anticipated matchup between the cowboys and Redskins the Skins fall to 0-3 and pick up 2 injuries to Derrius Guice and Taylor Gabriel. Dwayne Haskins has been impressing crowds only throwing 2 Picks but racking up a lot of yards, fans are comparing him to 2019 Jameis Winston with 3 TDS. The redskins struggled to run the ball once Guice got injured and the question is do the skins tank or try to make the playoffs at 0-3. Blake Rowe (Patriots) Patriots off to their best start since 2019 as they stretch their undefeated streak to 3-0 following a win in Buffalo on Sunday. The Patriots through 3 weeks lead the league in turnover margin (+8) and have rode their defense quite impressively to the tune of a combined 10 points the previous 2 weeks. When asked about the ceiling for this team on that side of the ball, coach Cannon responded, “I think we have a great group defensively. We have high IQ veterans to compliment really talented young players. It’s a good blend and that’s what you need for a super bowl caliber defense and I think that’s what we have here.” Dom (Cowboys) Another classic NFC East battle had Cowboys come out on top of the Skins to improve to 3-0 as the offense exploded for 538 total yards. Dak threw for 437 with 3 TDs and Pollard stepped up big time in the absence of injured star Zeke, as he finished with 106 yards and 2 TDs on 12 carries. We caught up with head coach, Perry Bones, after the game to discuss the hot start to the season. “Great start we’re proud of our boys but there’s a lot of things we can improve on as a team right now, especially on the defensive side of the ball, to me that shows that the sky is the limit for this team, button a few things up and we are right there with the top dogs in this league.” codyw73 (Packers) The Packers now sit at 1-2 after a poor performance against their division rival the Lions. Aaron Rodgers looked great throwing for 324 yards and 4 TDs, all of which were to Ruggs III. This was not enough to overcome a lack luster rushing attack and pitiful defense that allowed 406 yards of total offense. This rough start has fans starting to question whether or not this season is a loss before it has even really started. With the poor start to the season trade rumors centering around LeVeon Bell have begun to start as he enters the last year of his deal. Will he be moved or will the Packers resign him to a new deal? Only time will tell Ryan Platt In a game full of injuries both sides giants lost Barkley,Montgomery, Shepard all in first half!! But QB Sam Darnold led the offense and the team with a 28-21 Win. Teams Fullback Rosie Nix had 20 carries he was the only healthy ball carrier. Darnold threw for 306 yards and 3TD Shepard has 6 catches 136 yards and 2 TD before getting hurt. Lets hope to stay healthy next week
