Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Good day fellow football fanatics, to yet another edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As you may know, in these early season installments of Recruiting Watch, we take a closer look at two of the five star recruits. Here is our analyses:

Jonathan Oldham - LB:
Jonathan Oldham is an interesting LB, graduating from SHERWOOD HIGH, MD. Oldham is a 5 star player, and his overall ranking is 19. Oldham is 6' 4" tall, clocks in at 219 pounds and is 19 years old.

This guy sticks with his teammates, through thick and thin. So fast. You could drop him into coverage if you wanted. If you miss your block on this guy, he will be in the face of the QB before he has even finished dropping back. Pretty clever.

Teams are competing for the signature of the promising LB. It is going to be a hard decision to make, when the list of teams includes Jonathan Oldham.

It is hard to decipher where Oldham will end up. He has provided very few clues that warrant more than mere speculation and wishful thinking.

Willian Lyons - SS:
Willian Lyons is SS, from SUTTON HIGH SCHOOL, MA. Lyons is a 5 star player, and his overall ranking is 20. He weighs in at 223 pounds, is 6' 3" tall, at the age of 18.

Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Great speed for a Strong Safety. You can ask him to go in man coverage, and not be worried. Consistently takes down ball carrier when he gets to him.

The young Lyons has been getting some calls from recruiters. Willian Lyons tweeted that Florida Gators have shown interest.

Big Ten Recruiting News: Eyes on Penn State Nittany Lions and their pile of scholarships.

Having this amount of scholarships is a blessing but also poses a risk. Given the competition in Big Ten, the Nittany Lions cannot afford to draw many blanks, and the question is if they will be able to get a quality player for every open scholarship. For the record, the team in the Big Ten with the least scholarships to offer this season is Northwestern Wildcats with 13 open slots.

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns take home the upset victory!

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns fans are celebrating after the Ragin' Cajuns took down the LSU Tigers.
In a fantastic effort the Ragin' Cajuns brought home the win against a superior opponent. The supporters of the Ragin' Cajuns are taking the victory as evidence that the team is only a couple of seasons away from being a top program, if they can keep progressing and developing their program.

Charlotte 49ers Catch the BYU Cougars by surprise!

The Charlotte 49ers surprises everyone with an unlikely road win against BYU Cougars.
The Cougars never manage to take control of the game, while the 49ers kept grinding and drove the victory home. Meanwhile the 49ers fans are ecstatic and are already entertaining thoughts about a cinderella future.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Hi my fellow football fans, happy you are here for a brand new edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As usual, in these early season installments of Recruiting Watch, you get reports on two of the top players in the recruiting class. Here is what we found out:

Dewey Brown - WR:
Dewey Brown is an intriguing WR, coming out of SAN ANDREAS HIGH, CA. Brown is a 5 star recruit, ranked 2. He weighs in at 193 pounds, is 6' 1" tall, at the age of 19.

Rarely drops the ball. Is too speedy for most safeties in man coverage and will blaze through zones, forcing the defense to be on their toes. Makes defenders miss. Maintains his balance after the catch. Will change direction to avoid tacklers.

John Musgrove - WR:
John Musgrove is an accomplished WR, out of HYDE PARK ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL, IL. Musgrove is ranked as a 5 star player, and 4 overall. He weighs in at 203 pounds, is 6' 4" tall, at the age of 19.

Will hold onto the ball if he gets his hands on it. His presence will force opponents to keep a safety deep. He is just that fast.

Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish are rumored to be interested in Musgrove.

Musgrove has made clear, that no decision has been made yet. However, he did speak very highly of his experience with the recruiters from the Badgers.

Meanwhile the Miners fans are ecstatic and are already entertaining thoughts about a cinderella future.
