Twins Send Cleveland Home with 5-2 Loss
Minnesota turned a fine outing from starter Bob McDonald into a victory over the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was McDonald, now 3-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Guardians fall to 9-18 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2025 season.

Minnesota used a well-timed hit by Sojuro Iwamoto to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Twins ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said McDonald.
