Pittsburgh Keeps Spiraling Downward
Chicago starter Matt Harvey kept the Pittsburgh hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-2. The Pirates fall to 12-17 and continue their uneven start to the 2025 season.

Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Ben Collins to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cubs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Jose Mijares, the Pittsburgh manager.
