Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Rate Field.

The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at Rate Field, downing the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Alec Asher, who played a pivotal role in the win. Steve Peters, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2018 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Joe Malone.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Chicago catcher Mike Hurt, facing Joe Malone, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the White Sox the 4-3 win.

"Alec was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Chicago manager Fredi Gonzalez.

The win gives Chicago a record of 15-15.
