Milwaukee Brewers starter Joe Ross was on his game, helping his team beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1. Ed Gaines was credited with the save for Milwaukee, his 14th of the season. At 23-7, the 2026 Brewers have been excellent so far.

Milwaukee third baseman Steve Sanders helped the Brewers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Sanders hit a run-scoring single off Arizona pitcher Jody Davis.

"Watch and learn," said Sanders. "This is what good pitching looks like."
