Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Hammers.

The Colorado Rockies picked up a win at Coors Field, downing the Atlanta Hammers, 4-3. On the mound for Colorado was right-hander John Gant, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gant, now 4-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.

Sergio Martínez was 1 for 4 for Colorado. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Oscar Willis. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Gant said.

So far, the 2026 season has been disappointing for Atlanta, now 14-19.
