Rangers Collect 2-1 Win Over Mariners
|
The Rangers grabbed a win, 2-1, at Globe Life Park in Arlington, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Eric Wilkerson. Wilkerson went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs. With the win, Texas has a record of 17-16. Seattle falls to 15-16.
The Rangers got a clutch hit from catcher Nick Ciuffo. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rangers.
"Makes our job easier," said Ciuffo, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
