The St. Louis Cardinals picked up a win at Busch Stadium, topping the New York Mets, 6-3. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Daniel Missaki. He played a principal role in the triumph. The triumph puts St. Louis at 18-15 for the season.

The Cardinals had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 3-1, St. Louis, with no one out. New York, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Dalton Pompey dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 curveball, he flied out.
