With Late Score, Nationals Beat Brewers
|
Nationals Park was the site of a competitive game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals.
In a tight contest between the Washington Nationals and the Milwaukee Brewers, Ty Buttrey was the determining factor. The Washington right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Washington reliever Robbie McJannett picked up the win, raising his record to 3-1. Greg Schatz was tagged with the loss.
Sean Daniels, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2023 draft, took Milwaukee hurler Greg Schatz deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Nationals on top, 3-2. In all, Daniels had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
Washington manager Mark Grudzielanek commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Nationals.
