Oakland Tacks 4-1 Loss on New York
|
Oakland Athletics starter Aaron Nola found his groove in his team's 4-1 win over the New York Mets. Pedro Baez finished the game for Oakland and earned his 2nd save. The third-place Mets have dropped 4 straight games.
Gabriel Corporan dealt the Mets a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Oakland leading 1-0, Corporan, who is tied for 9th in the AL in home runs with 6, hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"All my pitches were working," said Nola. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
