The Colorado Rockies defeated the New York Mets, 6-3. Doing his part was third baseman Arturo Hernández, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The 4th-place Mets have lost 8 consecutive games.

Hernández had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count curveball from António Seroseres, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Rockies a 6-2 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Hernández.
