Pirates Clip Nationals, 3-2, in LDS Contest
With left-hander Jim Reynolds leading the charge, the Pittsburgh Pirates got past the Washington Nationals, 3-2, in extra innings in Game 3 of the League Divisional Series. Reynolds threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball at Nationals Park as Pittsburgh managed to grab a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Juan Reyes, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2024, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reyes contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-2.

Reyes said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nationals Park in Washington.
