Houston beat Philadelphia in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Houston Astros picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, knocking off the Philadelphia Phillies, 11-3. Starting pitcher Greg Connolly played a key role in the triumph. Connolly got the win, improving to 4-1. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.

Starlin Castro was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk for Houston. The five-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Luis Miguel Rivera. It was his 15th walk of the season.

Castro expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The Astros improved their record to 15-21 with the win over Philadelphia.
