Renegades Keep Losing, Drop 11-3 Contest to State College
The State College Spikes welcomed the Hudson Valley Renegades to an afternoon game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The State College Spikes had no problem beating the Hudson Valley Renegades, 11-3, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Wilbert Murphy, who is tied for 9th in the NYP with a .412 batting average, led the onslaught. He went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for State College. Gus White nailed down his 1st save.

Alec Parkinson had a big grand slam home run for the Spikes in the bottom of the fourth inning. With State College leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Eric Rogers and swatted a home run to left. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spikes ahead, 8-1.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Murphy.

The Renegades, at 8-14, have lost 6 in a row.
