Mendoza, Crosscutters March to 8-3 Victory
With shortstop Steve Mendoza leading the charge, the Williamsport Crosscutters defeated the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 8-3, at Bowman Field. Mendoza, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in home runs with 5, went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. With the win, Williamsport has a record of 9-15. Mahoning Valley falls to 11-13.

In the bottom of the first, 24-year old right fielder Beau Crowder hit a 2-run home run. The 2nd home run of the season for the Williamsport right fielder put the Crosscutters on top, 2-0.
