Cyclones Rally Late to Clip Aberdeen
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at MCU Park, knocking off the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 5-4, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Jonathan Kelly played a key role in the triumph. At 13-13, the Cyclones find themselves in second place in the McNamara Division.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Brooklyn right fielder Tim Simpson, facing Waylon Ellis, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cyclones the 5-4 win.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Simpson.
