Oglethorpe Swings Cyclones to 8-5 Win
Cyclones first baseman Brad Oglethorpe left his imprint on his team's 8-5 win over the Aberdeen Ironbirds. Oglethorpe went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for Brooklyn in the contest. Brooklyn pitcher Jerry Kahwagi got the win. He's now 3-1. Darío Vargas was tagged with the loss. Leo Hendricks picked up the save for Brooklyn, his 7th of the year.

Brooklyn shortstop José Morán contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 7-5.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Oglethorpe.

Brooklyn has won 3 straight, while Aberdeen has lost 3 in a row.
