Morris Crafts 2-0 Shutout Versus Mahoning Valley
|
It was a quiet day for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Eastwood Field -- a little too quiet. Brooklyn Cyclones starter Bob Morris silenced the Scrappers, holding them to 3 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 2-0 win.
"It was frustrating against Morris today," Mahoning Valley manager Esteban Gonzalez said.
The Brooklyn closer walked 0 and allowed 3 hits while fanning 4.
So far this season, Morris has chalked up a 3.03 ERA with no saves. In no relief appearances he has registered a 4-0 won-lost record and struck out 35 batters in 38.2 innings, while walking 15. He has allowed teams to hit .257 against him.
