The home crowd had a good time watching the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Firebirds get after it.

Wilmer Flores helped his team muscle past the Cincinnati Reds, 12-4. In the game, the Atlanta first baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Atlanta pitcher Simon Mercedes got the win. He's now 2-5. Chris Kohler was tagged with the loss.

Jim Bowers had a big run-scoring double for the Firebirds in the bottom of the first inning. With Atlanta leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Kohler and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Firebirds ahead, 2-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Bowers told the Atlanta Chronicle.

With this game in the books, Atlanta is 13-24, Cincinnati 13-24.
