Cyclones Get Clutch Win Versus Hudson Valley
The Brooklyn Cyclones had to overcome a fine effort from Hudson Valley pitcher Mike Barry to win, 6-5, at Dutchess Stadium. Barry went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Gabel Compagne, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 4 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 4 and walking 0. The Cyclones improved their record to 21-19 with the win over Hudson Valley.

Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Sean Middleton to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Middleton told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
