Lake Monsters Pull Out Late Win, 6-5
The Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Batavia Muckdogs, 6-5. Second Baseman Sean Taylor deserved a large share of the credit. Taylor was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Lake Monsters. Vermont's record now stands at 14-24, placing them last in the Stedler Division.

Tony Castro was the walk-off hero for Vermont. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lake Monsters right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Taylor.
