The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals get after it.

Nationals left fielder Aaron Judge put his stamp on his team's 9-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Judge was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Washington in the contest. Kirk Griffith was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Doug Foster picked up the save for Washington, his 1st of the year.

Lucius Fox Jr. helped out the Washington cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Judge. "But I like how we're playing right now."

Washington raised its record to 24-15 with the win.
