Doubledays Suffer One-Run Loss at Williamsport
Beau Brooks pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Auburn Doubledays, despite Brooks's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Williamsport Crosscutters at Bowman Field. Williamsport reliever Wilson Cuevas was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Beau Brooks. Williamsport is now 23-28.

Joe Norman was 1-3 with a walk for Williamsport. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Beau Brooks. It was his 32nd walk of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Williamsport manager .
