The 10-8 State College win over Hudson Valley was due in large part to Greg Burrell. The Spikes center fielder went 3-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to Greg Barton in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Víctor Valdés took the loss. Luis Padilla locked down his 4th save.

State College used the timely hitting of Lúcio Cortéz to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Spikes on top, 8-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Cortéz.

The State College winning streak has reached 3 games.
