Rodríguez Helps Auburn Cruise to 11-3 Win
Behind a solid performance from first baseman José Rodríguez, the Auburn Doubledays defeated the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 11-3. Rodríguez went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Doubledays. Jaymes Blackwell went 6.2 innings for Auburn to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record improves to 2-0. The third-place Doubledays lifted their record to 29-31.

Early in the game, Rodríguez had a 3-run home run for Auburn. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Doubledays on top, 3-0.
