Scrappers Handle Williamsport, Snag 7-3 Win
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers downed the Williamsport Crosscutters, 7-3. The hitting star was center fielder Sean Hartman. Hartman went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Scrappers. Aurelio Lópes earned the save for Mahoning Valley, his 1st of the year. With the win, the Scrappers improved to 32-32.

With Mahoning Valley leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Hartman hit a fastball from Mauro Dávila for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Scrappers ahead, 4-0.

Hartman said his team "played with determination."
