Auburn Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Rodríguez
José Rodríguez had a good game, but he could not keep the Auburn Doubledays from falling, 9-8, to the Vermont Lake Monsters at Centennial Field. The Auburn first baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. The winning pitcher was Dana Everhart. His record now stands at 2-0. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits for the Lake Monsters. Chris Forrest earned save number 10 this season.
