Ironbirds Get Plucky, 8-7 Win Over Renegades
The Aberdeen Ironbirds overcame a pretty good performance by Hudson Valley designated hitter Orlando Quintana, beating the Renegades, 8-7, at Ripken Stadium. Quintana was 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Aberdeen is now 32-33, while Hudson Valley is 35-30.

Aberdeen got a clutch hit from Willie Brown. The designated hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"On the outside I was calm," said Ironbirds manager Lamarr Rogers. "But inside I was a nervous wreck."
