Doubledays Walk It Off for 32nd Win of Season
Doubledays right fielder Bob Cote put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Connecticut Tigers. Cote was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs for Auburn in the contest. Colm Tucker, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. The third-place Doubledays improved to 32-33.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 13th, 22-year old third baseman Jesús Pérez had a chance to be the hero. Connecticut pitcher Sergio González had other ideas. But with one out, Pérez drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Doubledays had themselves a dramatic win.

"This place was electric at the end," Cote said.
