The Batavia Muckdogs turned back the Lowell Spinners, 6-5, at Dwyer Stadium. Jeff Adams, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Batavia reliever Benoît Jolivet got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Andy Hendrick was tagged with the loss. Batavia has now won 8 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Batavia left fielder Robby Márquez, facing Andy Hendrick, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Muckdogs the 6-5 win.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Adams after the game.
