The home crowd had a good time watching the Williamsport Crosscutters and Connecticut Tigers get after it.

The Connecticut Tigers downed the Williamsport Crosscutters, 5-1, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The Tigers were led by José Navarro. Navarro was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. The Tigers bumped their record to 46-23 with this latest triumph.

With Connecticut leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Navarro hit a run-scoring single off Williamsport hurler Jorge Jiménez. It was the 61st hit of the season for Navarro and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Navarro.
