Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins.
The Cleveland Guardians locked up a win at Progressive Field, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 4-3. On the mound for Cleveland was left-hander Jose C. Medina. He played a major role in the triumph. Luis Aguiler nailed down the save.
The Guardians got a big at-bat from third baseman Ernie Jones. For the game, Jones went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Cleveland a 3-0 lead.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Cleveland manager Tristan Bugbie said afterward.
The first-place Twins dropped to 24-16.
