Though the conditions were not ideal, the Pulaski Yankees and Bluefield Blue Jays came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Pulaski shortstop Juan Moreno contributed significantly to his team's 13-4 win over the Bluefield Blue Jays. Moreno went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Yankees. The loss drops Bluefield to 1-3.

Clarence Hathaway hit a run-scoring double off Jim Unknown in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Yankees in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Hathaway had 2 singles and 2 walks, while going 3 for 3.
