Boise Sent Home with 7-3 Loss
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 22-year old right fielder Cy Courtney helped the Tri-City Dust Devils beat the Boise Hawks, 7-3. The win was credited to 20-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Ruíz in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Andy Baker took the loss. Orlando Hernández finished the game for Tri-City and earned his 1st save.
Zachary Hurlson was 1 for 3 for Tri-City. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Andy Baker. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Hurlson told the Tri-City Citizen.
After today's action, Tri-City sits at 11-19; Boise slips to 9-20.
