Blue Jays Grind Out 2-0 Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays downed the Seattle Mariners, 2-0, at Safeco Field. Toronto pitcher Marco Gonzales definitely brought his A-game. The loss makes Seattle 21-18.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from first baseman Rintaro Ikeda. For the game, Ikeda was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Toronto a 1-0 lead.
"We put together a nice win," Ikeda said.
