The Vancouver Canadians stormed past the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 19-5, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Vancouver center fielderPepe Ortega , who is tied for 10th in the NWL with a .360 batting average, led the hit parade. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks.
