Everett Slaps 7-5 Loss on Hillsboro
The Everett AquaSox topped the Hillsboro Hops, 7-5, in Northwest League action at Everett Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Everett pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Rodrigo Saldaña. Saldaña picked up the win for Everett, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. The first-place AquaSox have won 4 straight games.

António Pérez had a big 2-run triple for the AquaSox in the bottom of the third inning. With Everett leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Jerry Rhodes, who is tied for 3rd in the NWL in complete games with 1, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the AquaSox ahead, 3-0.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Everett manager Dennis Pelfrey.
