Ripken Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Batavia Muckdogs and Aberdeen Ironbirds.

The Aberdeen Ironbirds got a sterling performance from pitcher Alfredo García, but the Batavia Muckdogs still prevailed, 5-4. García came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. Picking up the save was Mike Muller. He's now 1 for 2 in save chances.

It could have been a different outcome for Batavia, had it not been for Clarence Brawley, the 21-year old right fielder . Brawley contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Batavia up, 4-1.

Said Aberdeen manager Lamarr Rogers: "They just got the better of us."
