The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-3, at Progressive Field. Cleveland was led by 26-year old right fielder José Álvarez, who went 2-3 with a double. He drove in 5 runs. Cleveland starter Jose C. Medina was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 6-1. The win gives the Guardians a record of 14-26.

Cleveland took a 4-0 lead on Álvarez's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Greg Schatz in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Cleveland to the win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Álvarez.
