Thanks in large part to right fielder Ben Young, the Princeton Rays beat the Burlington Royals, 8-5. Young was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Greene in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Randy Harmon took the loss. With the win, the Rays sit at 10-5.

Pete Williams came through with a big-time hit for Princeton. The center fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Rays manager Scooter Tucker.
