Royals 8-1 Victors Over Bristol

The Burlington Royals got a strong performance from pitcher Alan Graham, who stymied the Bristol offense en route to a win, 8-1, at Burlington Athletic Stadium. Graham yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 11. His record improves to 3-0. The Royals, now 16-18, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.
Rodrigo Hernández had a big 2-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the third inning. With Burlington leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Dan Berry and swatted a home run to center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 4-1.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Graham.
