Good production from third baseman Maikel Franco helped the Philadelphia Phillies topple the Boston Red Sox, 6-0. Franco was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Phillies. Philadelphia reliever Kevin Weber snagged the win, upping his record to 6-0. Phil Christopher shouldered the loss. Philadelphia raised its record to 24-19 with the win.
Early in the game, Franco had a 2-run home run for Philadelphia. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Phillies on top, 2-0.
