Jones goes 3-for-4 to Light Firebirds Fuse
The Danville Firebirds powered past the Princeton Rays, 10-8, at American Legion Field. Greg Jones was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4, to lead the charge. Danville pitcher António Díaz got the win. He's now 5-3. Ken Greene was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Firebirds sit at 23-22.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Firebirds grabbed the lead when Jones hit his 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ken Greene made it 10-8, Danville.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Danville manager Jeff Walters. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
