The Minnesota Twins topped the Baltimore Orioles, 7-3, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Minnesota left fielder Magneuris Sierra was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Minnesota is now 19-24. Baltimore is 24-18.

Carol Westerhout had a big 2-run home run for the Twins in the top of the third inning. With Minnesota leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a curveball from Hector Jimenez, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a 1.04 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Twins on top, 5-1.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Twins manager Robin Ventura.
