Behind a solid performance from center fielder Ben Young, the Princeton Rays defeated the Johnson City Cardinals, 6-3. Young was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Rays. Reliever Ken Greene picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Dan Bradford took the loss. Ken Horn earned the save for Princeton, his 3rd.

Young had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 cutter from Dan Bradford, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Rays a 6-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Young.

"We did a lot of things right," said Young.

Princeton raised its record to 32-21 with the win.
