The Bluefield Blue Jays defeated the Greeneville Astros, 10-3. First Baseman Loren Allen deserved a large share of the credit. Allen went 2-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice for the Blue Jays. Bluefield goes to 31-24, Greeneville to 20-35.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Blue Jays grabbed the lead when Allen hit his 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Don MacIntosh made it 4-1, Bluefield.

"We hit the ball hard," said Bluefield manager Jose Mejia. "Line drive after line drive."
