Astros Take Home 3-1 Win Over Princeton
|
Starting pitcher Steffen O'Donnell did his part in helping the Greeneville Astros thwart the Princeton Rays, 3-1. O'Donnell, now 4-5, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The victory puts Greeneville at 24-41.
Greeneville designated hitter José González contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Astros ahead, 3-1.
"Steffen can pitch. He moves the ball around," said Greeneville manager Justin Upton.
