Tigers Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a win at Rogers Centre, knocking off the Detroit Tigers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Marco Gonzales played a key role in the triumph. Toronto is now 24-22, while Detroit is 25-21.
Toronto took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Maake Arnold hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Blue Jays in front, 2-1.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Arnold.
